The küschall® R33 is designed to fit the variety of personalities in striving to obtain the utmost in quality and performance. It aims to improve whatever lifestyle our customers have chosen, and to provide them with the perfect tool for them to express themselves in their active lives.
An integrated shock absorber, the L.I.S.® (Low Impact System) ensures an incomparable attenuation effect for the user. Positioned underneath the seat, L.I.S.® acts as an effective mechanism for absorbing impact, providing an unrivalled damping effect. The system is comprised of a metal spring and a core mounted beneath the seat module and which operates at the axis of the spine. This key benefit relieves the strain on the spinal column and isolates the wheelchair user from shock impulses caused by hard contact with the ground. Although the stroke is sufficient enough to absorb impacts, it is deliberately limited to prevent a loss of kinetic energy, a trait that distinguishes the L.I.S® from similar or competitor systems.
Küschall® has of course designed a connection element for users who do not wish a shock absorbing system; both parts are easily interchangeable on all küschall® R33 wheelchairs.
R33 - Exclusive Design
The difference lies in detail. A powerful design for performance leaves a lasting impression. The unique frame construction of the küschall® R33 is revolutionary. Joining both side frames together in the centre of the camber bar, this disruptive design gives the wheelchair a sleek, dynamic and exceptional aesthetic feel.
The küschall® R33 is available in all the colours of the range and the latest Alcantara backrest and seat upholstery in black with dark grey strips complement the avant-garde aesthetics of this dynamic manual wheelchair.
R33 - Praised with prizes
Having won a succession of awards, the küschall® R33 remains unrivalled among manual wheelchairs of this type. In 2007, the küschall® R33 was awarded the “Coup de Coeur” by the Hacavie association in France for its revolutionary design and incomparable comfort. Jury members were particularly impressed by the innovative, patented shock-absorbing Low Impact System (L.I.S.®) which is unique to küschall®. Scooping also the 2007 Janus Award (a prestigious design award) in Paris (France) for its functional design is testament to how the küschall® R33 makes a lasting impression and has inspired pure passion among rigid-frame wheelchair users. Recently, the küschall® R33 won the Rehacare Design Award 2008/2009.
