Rainer meets the Dalai Lama

At this time a search odyssey began which took Rainer half way around the world: to the Chinese in San Francisco, to the Indian shamans in Florida, to traditional Chinese medicine, to the shaman in the upper Himalayas right through to homeopathy and Tibetan remedial medicine. This was a long and difficult road, a patient, disciplined and humble road. Concerning oneself with all of these different ideologies, manners of thinking, practising them and then finding something of help to oneself was not an easy route. But it was one of constant progress in small steps.

The interest in Tibetan medicine automatically led to close contract with the Kailash House in Freiburg, Germany. This is where Tibetan culture is made accessible to all interested parties. A distinguished visitor was expected on 28 July: His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama was the welcome guest and blessed the newly erected stupa in the garden of the Kailash House. And Rainer had the pleasure of being present.
