Hockenheim- Rainer Küschall’s first International Sports Car Race

On Saturday 29th June Rainer Küschall took part in Hockenheim his first ever international sports car race- now driving the Crossle.

It was sensational- Rainer’s debut as an international racing car driver and he almost made it onto the podium!

Rainer started in last position but determined to show them who was boss he shot past everyone- overtaking fellow racers until just behind 3rd position. He decided to attack… and promptly over-accelerated… this causing him to spin a few times and losing most of his hard worked ground- falling back considerably.

In his second race Rainer experienced a technical problem with the oldfashioned power-steering, it stopped working properly. All he could do was try and survive the race in order to get his points and defend his 5th position on the board.

The final results of the day were 5th in both races!

With Hockenheim Rainer achieved a Mission Impossible! He is now the pioneer quadriplegic on International Racecircuit and the first quad with an international licence.

All we can say is that we are elated for Rainer after such an incredible result and fantastic weekend!

More news to come.
