Rainer Küschall’s new racing acquisition

The Radical SR3 still in its UK workshopTo enhance the reactivity of his car, Rainer uses a so-called “sip and puff” module that enables him to change gears by sipping or puffing air into a tube.

He has recently acquired a new Radical SR3 racing car, which was launched in Birmingham/UK in January 2002 by Radical Motor Sports. This machine is equipped with a high-tech1500cc/250 hp engine and weighs slightly less than 500 kg. The Radical SR3 is capable of reaching 0-110 km/h (0-60mph) in stunning 3 seconds. His body fits snugly into the seat to stabilise him at high speeds (the considerable force effect in curves would otherwise pull him away from his steering wheel).

The form for the seat is takenRainer’s customized Radical is presently being tuned to accommodate Swiss laws and enable him to take part in the various events around Europe.

We wish Rainer all the best for his upcoming races (June 1st in Hockenheim/Germany, July 12th in Interlaken/Switzerland and August 10th and September 13th in Anneau du Rhin/France) and look forward to seeing him in his Radical SR3 next season.
