Invacare Doubles Masters!

Invacare and Wheelchair Tennis: a Long-Lasting Relationship

After 17 years of Invacare World Team Cup sponsoring, Invacare (our sister company) becomes title sponsor of the ITF’s year-end Doubles Masters event in a two-year deal.

The 2011 Invacare Doubles Masters will be held on 2-6 November in the Frans Otten Stadion, in Amsterdam, known as “Little Venice”.

The Invacare Doubles Masters is one of the ITF’s must-see wheelchair tennis events. First staged in 2000, the world’s top eight men’s doubles pairs, and the top four women and quad doubles pairs will face each other to offer the audience thrilling top-level tennis matches. Again, this event will not happen without küschall!

Küschall will be present on the international championship

The küschall-Team will be present during all the Tennis Event and it will be also a great opportunity to meet us and discover our latest models in the Invacare’s showroom. In addition to that, an Invacare team will provide küschall trainings.

Rainer küschall as special guest at the Invacare’s Symposium

Invacare will continue to host the successful international symposium in English for the fourth time. This year the topic will revolve around ‘Real Life’ challenges. The principle is to bring together experts from the field of sports, business and community life, to share their insights and learn how they managed to bring focus into their lives and achieve their goals. Rainer Küschall will be present at this event as a special guest to bring his experience of life.

The symposium will take place on Thursday afternoon, 3^rd November from 15:00 to 17:30 in the Frans Otten Stadion, in Amsterdam.

Co-chairmen Ade Adepitan, TV presenter & British wheelchair basketball player, and Martin McEllhaton, IWTA President, Chief Executive Wheelpower, will welcome the speakers and the audience. Among the guest speakers of this public seminar, Rainer Küschall, former athlete and founder of küschall and the 2011 official ambassador of the Invacare Doubles Masters, Cees Vervoorn, former Dutch swimmer and former Paralympics chef de mission and Dennis Gebbink, from ‘Only Friends’ sport club of Amsterdam Ronald McDonald Centre will give interviews or presentations and answer the audience’s questions. More surprise speakers to be announced soon...

A ‘Woman’ of substance
A Violet passion frame with anodized parts* in comet red to symbolize the passion and sensitivity of women. Like a model of great beauty, the küschall R33 anniversary ‘Woman’ edition comes embellished with flower stickers on the frame and clothes & mud guards. The footrest is designed in wood and marked with the anniversary logo, while the backrest upholstery adopts an urban style with trendy black/grey/white patterns. As always with küschall, there is a high attention to detail – so check out the Low Impact System (L.I.S®), where the colour of the spring is flashy pink – The perfect woman colour! With this wheelchair you will, without any doubts, excel in expressing what it is to be a woman.

A ‘Man’ for all seasons
With its ivory white frame and anodized parts* in apricot, the küschall R33 Anniversary edition ‘Man’ has a dynamic, masculine look, reinforced by a unique series of stickers on the frame and clothes & mud guards. Made from wood and marked with the anniversary logo, the footrest has been designed in a skateboard style, a first, which serves as reminder as to how unique you can be with a küschall. The backrest upholstery has been designed with black/grey/white patterns, which further reinforce the urban look of the wheelchair. Finally, the Low Impact System (L.I.S®), a vital part of the küschall R33, is finished in techno-anthracite with a flash yellow spring: an explosive mix that reveals the true measure of the ‘Man’!
